It’s that time of year again: time to start talking about Big Summer Potluck!

We’re very excited to announce that Big Summer Potluck 3 will take place from July 27-29, 2012 in Bucks County, PA! Like last year, there will be a dinner at the Anderson home on Friday night hosted by Pam Anderson of

Saturday’s event will take place at the incredible Silver Buttons Farm in Carversville, PA. It’s every bit as quaint and charming as Linden Hill Garden (last year’s venue), but with an industrial kitchen and four restrooms. (You’re welcome.)

Can’t you just see us out on this lawn? I can.

We’re even more delighted to announce that our two main speakers will be Joy Wilson of Joy the Baker and Brooke Burton-Lüttmann of Food Woolf.

Joy Wilson (left) is the voice behind the popular blog,  She is a baker, food photographer, writer, and curator of all things sweet. In four short years, has been named one of the 50 Best Food Blogs by The London Times, Eight of the Very Best Food Blogs by Forbes, the Best Baking and Most Humorous Blog by Foodbuzz, and the Best Baking Blog by Saveur. Brooke began her blog, in 2007 and has been nominated for best food writing by Foodbuzz in 2009 and 2011 and has been mentioned in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Guardian UK, and other major online publications.

Saturday night festivities will include a pig roast under the stars, music you can’t help but dance to, and of course, gin!

We know winter has only just started, but summer can’t come soon enough. Tickets will go on sale in February. Because this venue is a bit bigger and because we want to share the Big Summer Potluck love with as many people as we can, we’ll open up 75 spots for BSP3. Last year tickets sold out in under three hours so if you’d like to receive an e-mail to notify you when tickets go on sale, please enter your e-mail address in the form below.

To help tide you over until summer, we have a giveaway from one of our sponsors, Kerrygold! They’re giving away $200 worth of their infinitely superior and wildly popular Irish cheese and butter (including Cashel Blue!) to one very lucky person. To enter, just leave a comment telling us your favorite food that includes lots of butter or cheese!
